Pistol shooting in Belgium

Dear all

I spent a few days in Belgium last week and visited the COPPENS SCHIETSPORTCENTRUM which is about 15 miles outside of Bruges (http://www.coppensschietsport.com/coppe ... rt_022.htm). I liaised with Pail Coppens (the owner) prior to departing and he was very helpful in arranging my visit to the range. I needed to bring my passport and UK FAC with me.

They have a large number of club rifles and pistols which are shot on their 25 metre indoor range, which is separated into six(?) bays with electrical target transporters. I used a 9mm Browning HP and .45 Colt 1911. Other guns available include .357 and .44 mag revolvers and other pistol calibres as well. Rifles include S and W 15/22, an AK47 and .45/70. If I remember correctly they have something like 20 club guns available for use. The range and gun hire cost was €30 with ammo starting at 11.50 euro for 50 9mm.

The staff and other shooters were very welcoming and I would recommend a visit if you are in the area. I certainly intend to return. The range is not set up of IPSC pistol etc but it was great to use proper pistols again. I left the range with a huge grin on my face.

I was wondering if you have an email for the Bruges shooting club as I've email'd with no response.
